Headlights live from the basement

October 13, 2009

Tomorrow evening (10/14) Champaign, Ill. based indie-pop band Headlights will be airing a live performance online. The performance will take place in the band’s rehearsal space in the basement of their home.

Headlights just released their third studio album for Polyvinyl records on Oct. 6. The album, titled Wildlife, displays a darker side of the band not seen in their past work.

The band’s music can best be described as chamber pop. Their sound is rather unique, combining male and female vocals with light synthesizers and reverb-drenched guitar.

Their live performance can be seen beginning at 8 p.m. CST. It can be seen by following this link:

For more information about Headlights visit their Web site, MySpace or follow them on Twitter.

Check back later this week for a review of their album Wildlife.

For now, check out this brand new video for “Get Going.”
