It’s coming…the Week of Lists ’09

December 9, 2009

The end of the year is upon us and there is no better time for bloggers to be alive. Of course, that is because our odd affinity for listing finally gets the proper outlet.

With that in mind I have decided to devote the entire week of Dec. 13 – 19 to the best of 2009. The complete schedule is below, be sure to check back daily and leave your thoughts in the comments!

Sunday 12/13

The most memorable news stories of 2009: A month-by-month breakdown of what happened over the past year. Every high and low commemorated to send this decade out properly.

Monday 12/14

The best and worst of album art: With so many albums put out this year there is plenty to choose from. That means plenty good, and plenty more bad. Some that are awesomely bad.

Tuesday 12/15

Breakout artists of the year: These debutantes made the most of their first shot at the big time and earned their recognition.

Wednesday 12/16

Best live shows of 2009: I didn’t make it to as many shows as I would have liked, but I did manage to catch some pretty spectacular ones. It will  be hard to pick the best.

Thursday 12/17

Most overrated/underrated of 2009: Stay away from my Dirty Projectors review if you don’t want to spoil this list.

Friday 12/18

Top 10 albums of the year: Here it is, my favorites of the past year. Whittled down to ten and analyzed absurdly. What could be better than that?

Saturday 12/19

Guest lists: Because every blog needs diversity I have invited a few friends to share their favorite albums of the past 12 months.
